Knitting a shawl is quite simple.
You only need 1-2 balls, or a few more depending on the wool you choose, and a pair of needles + a crochet hook of the corresponding thickness in each case.
To knit a shawl you will have to familiarize yourself with some techniques such as casting on stitches, closing in the round, making a magic ring and finishing off.
